Day 4

On the fourth morning of lights out we were expecting rain. we had a plan and were prepared. I fired up the wood furnace and Kirsten prepared coffee, eggs, veggies and toast inside.

The kids were playing the board game "life" Kalel won. He was an entertainer who was married with no children.
As you can see the rain drenched our outdoor kitchen. I had cooked in the snow before but had to do some extra research on fire in the rain. I was prepared to start an outdoor fire but why bother when we have an indoor wood furnace.
You can see our pans enjoying a natural soaking in the rain.

After the rain died down a bit, Kirsten and I walked to the "general store" a.k.a bargain village. We looked for some vintage cookware. I was also looking for candle holders for the wall. We walked away with a really cool waffle iron and an egg slicer.

I decided to take a nap and the rest of the crew pulled out settlers of catan. I hear Kya dominated.
