Day 3

For breakfast the kids decided to wake to the local baker a.k.a. "Sullivans" and buy some groceries. They brought back doughnuts. I wont lie. They were really good.

Later that day. Keona and Kalel decided that they were hot so they played in the hose for a bit.
We did most of the cooking outside but we had a pot of baked beans on the wood furnace inside the house. I tweaked the cooking a bit from the recipe I found at Savoring the Past.

We also cooked both Carolina Snowballs and Rice Pudding for lunch. We were quite skeptical but they were amazing. Here is the link to the recipes we used.

The beans were very good. Ours didn't turn into a thick past like James Townsends, they were more the consistency of a canned baked bean.
